2024 Colorado Latino Elected Officials Convening
Latinos make up 22% of the population of Colorado, and yet our communities continue to be underrepresented in elected office. The Colorado Democratic Latino Caucus is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization comprised of Latino legislators from across Colorado who proudly and passionately serve in the Colorado General Assembly. We know that serving in public office can be both exhilarating and exhausting, and it's why we are so excited to convene an exclusive and first-of-its-kind event.
On Monday, December 9, 2024 from 10am - 4pm in Denver, the Latino Caucus, in partnership with the Latino Research and Policy Center at CU Denver will convene Latino elected officials from across Colorado who serve on school boards, municipal and county government, as well as at the state level. To our knowledge, a convening of this type has never occurred in Colorado. We believe that by learning from each others' expertise and knowledge as Latino elected officials, we can develop meaningful relationships and positively impact public policy and the quality of life for all our constituents.
